Sommelier Francine Diamond-Ferdinandi and Chef Angelo Auriana welcome winemaker Mario Roagna for an evening exploring wine varietals from Piedmonte’s northeastern city, Roero
WHAT: Prominent Northern Italian restaurant, Officine BRERA, introduces its bi-monthly wine dinner series with debut winery, Cascina Val del Prete, on November 10, 2016. Playing to the dining destination’s commitment to authentic culinary offerings inspired by the Po Valley, Chef Angelo Auriana, stirred by his personal predilection for Piedmonte wines, presents a four-course menu. Carefully selected wine pairings from second-generation winemaker Mario Roagna will accompany each dish. Guests are invited to discover the certified organic and biodynamic options produced in Roero, situated within the northeastern most part of Cuneo, known for its sandy soil that yields intense red varietals such as Arneis, Barbera, and Nebbiolo.
